Overview
Gbox ("we", "us") is a workout tracking app for functional fitness athletes. This policy explains what information Gbox collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Gbox mobile apps and to garagebox.fit, including the pages for Coach checkout and billing.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and authentication identifiers when you create an account or sign in with email, Google, or Apple.
- Profile information. Your display name, gym/box name, and optional profile fields such as birthday, gender, height, weight, and phone number.
- Profile photos. Avatar images you choose to upload.
- Workout and fitness data. Workouts you create or log, including results, scores, and effort data.
- Equipment inventory. The garage or gym equipment you record in the app.
- Workout board photos and workout text. Photos of workout boards and typed workouts you choose to scan. They are sent through our servers to Google Gemini, which reads them into structured workouts. A board photo is kept with the workout it created.
- Workout requests. When you forge a workout with Coach, the request you give it, together with your equipment and recent training history, is sent through our servers to Google Gemini to create the workout.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe to Coach, your plan and subscription status. Our payment processor collects your payment details; we never see or store your card number.
- Support communications. The support requests you send and the replies exchanged with our support team.
- Crash and usage telemetry. Crash reports and diagnostic or analytics events, where enabled, used to keep the app stable and improve it.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and secure your account and your workout history.
- Create workouts that fit your equipment and training history using AI.
- Interpret workout board photos and typed workouts into structured, trackable workouts using AI.
- Rank your best benchmark scores on leaderboards (see What other athletes see).
- Process Coach subscription payments and manage your plan.
- Respond to support requests and keep a record of support conversations.
- Diagnose crashes, monitor reliability, and improve app features.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
What other athletes see
Your best benchmark scores appear on that benchmark's leaderboard, which other signed-in Gbox athletes can see. You show as "Gbox athlete" unless you choose to show your name; then your profile name appears next to your scores until you hide it again. Nothing else from your account is shown to other athletes.
You can report another athlete's name or score, or block an athlete so they no longer appear on your leaderboards. Reports go to our support team, which can hide a name, remove a score, or close an account that breaks our Terms. Who you block is stored only on your device.
Service providers
Gbox uses service providers that process data on our behalf, in these categories:
- Hosting and database: sign-in, your profile, workouts, equipment, and photos.
- Payment processing: Coach subscriptions. The payment processor collects your payment details and keeps payment and invoice records.
- Customer support: your name, email address, and the support requests and leaderboard reports you send, so our team can respond.
- Crash reporting and analytics: crash reports and usage events.
- AI processing: workout requests with your equipment and recent training history, and the board photos and typed workouts you scan. Our AI provider does not use this data to train or improve its models.
Each provider may use your data only to provide its service to Gbox, and must give it the same or equal protection as this policy.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Login & security → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your profile, workout history, equipment inventory, photos, notifications, and leaderboard entries, and cancels your Coach subscription if you have one.
A few records stay after deletion. Our payment processor keeps payment and invoice records for tax and accounting. Our support system keeps your name, email address, and the support requests you sent until you ask us to delete them.

Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on infrastructure with industry-standard protections. Access to personal data is limited to what is needed to operate the service.
Children
Gbox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
