Gbox // Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective July 1, 2026
Overview
Gbox ("we", "us") is a workout tracking app for functional fitness
athletes. This policy explains what information Gbox collects, how it
is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Gbox mobile apps
and the web app at garagebox.fit.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and
authentication identifiers when you create an account or sign in
with email, Google, or Apple.
- Profile information. Your display name, gym/box
name, and optional profile fields such as birthday, gender, height,
weight, and phone number.
- Profile photos. Avatar images you choose to
upload.
- Workout and fitness data. Workouts you create or
log, including results, scores, and effort data.
- Equipment inventory. The garage or gym equipment
you record in the app.
- Workout board photos and workout text. Photos of
workout boards and typed workout descriptions you submit for
AI-assisted interpretation. These are sent to Firebase AI Logic
(Google Gemini) to convert them into structured workouts.
- Support communications. The content of support
cases you open, replies exchanged with our support team, and live
support chat messages.
- Crash and usage telemetry. Crash reports and
diagnostic or analytics events, where enabled, used to keep the app
stable and improve it.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and secure your account and your workout
history.
- Interpret workout board photos and typed workouts into structured,
trackable workouts using AI.
- Respond to support requests and keep a record of support
conversations.
- Diagnose crashes, monitor reliability, and improve app
features.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for
third-party advertising.
Service providers
Gbox runs on trusted third-party infrastructure that processes data
on our behalf:
- Google Firebase: authentication, database,
storage, crash reporting, and AI processing (Firebase AI Logic /
Gemini) for workout interpretation.
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon Connect): live
support chat. Amazon Connect stores chat transcripts and support
contact history.
These providers process your data only to deliver their services to
Gbox and are bound by their own security and privacy commitments.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete
your account and all associated data at any time from
Settings → Login & security → Delete account in
the app. This permanently removes your profile, workout history,
equipment inventory, and photos.
You can also email
support@smrtbit.io to request
deletion or a copy of your data.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on
infrastructure with industry-standard protections. Access to personal
data is limited to what is needed to operate the service.
Children
Gbox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has
provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete
it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will
be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
